Ultherapy is a non-invasive method that delivers ultrasound energy in a targeted and precise way to the deep layers of the skin, without damaging the surrounding area. 

This triggers the accelerated production of new collagen, which restores skin tone and tension. It is most commonly used to rejuvenate the eye area, cheeks, neck and décolleté in mild to moderate sagging. The skin starts to renew itself during the procedure and the final result is visible within two to three months.

Procedure

After reviewing the ultrasound image, the dermatologist determines the thickness of the skin and selects the target depth where the Ulthera™ procedure will take place. Skin thickness varies between individuals and regions of the face, neck and chest. Scaling is used to determine the areas to be treated, then the handpiece is placed on the skin, and ultrasound is used to see exactly where in the skin the handpiece will work, or if it is incorrectly placed on the skin. Ulthera™ is the only focused ultrasound device with this technical capability, which is very important for the safety and the effect of the operation of the device. Once the procedure is underway, the ultrasound energy triggers a natural response that results in the production of collagen and the renewal of existing collagen.

Results

Skin repair is a process like muscle growth – the body needs time for both. Thus, although you will notice an improvement in the skin tone immediately after Ultherapy, you can expect to see the final results – less sagging skin, more “open” eyes, a more pronounced jawline, a reduction in the volume of the lower face and chin, and a smoother skin texture – within two to three months.
