Mesotherapy is a medical procedure using extremely fine needles to inject active bio-identical substances, which are also the building blocks of our body, into the subcutaneous tissue.
It is the hyaluronic acid whose amount particularly decreases over the years, causing the skin to become drier, less radiant and with fine lines and wrinkles. The effects of replacing hyaluronic acid with mesotherapy are mainly seen as an increase in hydration, more than in volume or smoothing of deep wrinkles. It can be used alone or in combination with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, depending on the problem we want to address. Unlike that in fillers, the hyaluronic acid is not cross-linked and thus more resistant to degradation by enzymes.
Implementation and repetition
The procedure is repeated at least three times over a short period of two to six weeks, and the results are maintained every three months. Mesotherapy can be combined with other non-invasive rejuvenation methods such as: fillers, botulinum toxin, microdermabrasion and very superficial and superficial chemical peels.
Does it hurt?
Every skin prick is painful, especially if it has to be done dozens of times in a short space of time. To relieve the pain, we use ice cold or special anaesthetic creams. This makes the procedure bearable and does not cause significant pain that would discourage you from repeating it.
